My Antonia Seasons Project:
Willa Cather spends a great deal of time describing the seasons on the Nebraskan prairie.  Go back through the novel and find these descriptions and create a large collage that represents all of the seasons.  Your collage must have text from the novel, as well as symbolic graphics that bring the quotes to life.  You may use magazine clippings, drawings, paint, fabric, photographs or any combination of the above.  Your finished piece must look professional, and ready to be displayed in the Mom's room at lunch. This assignment will be due Feb 16th. We will talk more about it in class, but if you want to start gathering quotes, materials and brainstorming now you can. You might find this website helpful: http://www.willacather.org/

Is Arthur Dimmesdale a remarkably strong character to have carried his burden of guilt for so many years? Or was he weak for not having the courage to confess? Given what we know about him, would he have been able to “run away” with Hester and Pearl and start a new life? Discuss these issues with other members of your class. Cite evidence from the text to
support your opinions.

I can't believe I didn't post this for you guys!!! You can take it tonight or turn it in after Thanksgiving. So sorry!
